Our events are customized for groups of five to ten at nearly any level of interest or expertise.

Typical groups?  Wine and food lovers.  Wine and food professionals.  Groups of all men, all women, men and women.  Families celebrating an anniversary or birthday.  A wine shop or restaurant owner organizing an exploratory trip with good customers.

Overnight lodging ranges from city centric luxury hotels to country inns surrounded by vineyards to farmhouses with self catering apartments.

Wine tasting visits may take place casually in cool cellars, wandering from barrel to barrel, while some tastings may be conducted seated in a discussion group setting, with maps in hand, bottle after bottle opened, analyzed, and discussed.

In one visit we may taste different wines made by the same winemaker in the same year; in another session we may compare the same wine as made by different winemakers in the same vintage; while yet another tasting will involve a "vertical" of the same wine by the same winemaker in several vintages.   Sometimes we know the wines in advance, and other times we taste them blind.  After all, it is a seminar!

Our meals can be a blend of fancy and casual; haute cuisine and comfort food; even a barbecue or picnic if weather permits.  Speaking of weather, each season brings its own opportunities and challenges.  There is no best or worst time to visit Burgundy - we can adjust to the moment.

Visits to historical sites - the Hospices de Beaune museum, the Château du Clos de Vougeot, the Abbey of Citeaux - can all be worked in to our itinerary.  Bicycle rental or hiking outings can be easily arranged for a break from the rigors of wine tasting as well.

Detailed sample itineraries  will be posted soon - In the meantime, send us an e-mail start a conversation about your next adventure!
